So basically, Ram really is the useless one! I still love her and her banters with Subaru though. I’ve always thought that since Rem seems to do everything better than Ram, Ram would be the one to specialize in assassination. And Emilia-tan is as cute as ever, probably my favorite girl this season. The scene with Betty spinning around turning out to be Subaru walking in circles around her gave me a chuckle. I still can’t get enough of the character interactions, especially Subaru’s interactions with Puck and Betty. And the final nail in the coffin was Subaru having a stakeout from the cliff where he can view the mansion. In this one, Roswaal seemed to have been more suspicious of him, especially with how he’s been acting. In the last one, he was cursed and that might have been why he had to die. I feel like the reason he’s being targeted in this iteration and the reason he was targeted last iteration are different. If Subaru doesn’t become weakened like he was in the past iteration, the cause of it would most likely be the dog bite when he did go shopping.Subaru was likely “cursed” in the past two iterations.Ram talked about how the ogres in the story should’ve teared their horns off if they wanted live with humans, signifying that the twins most likely sacrificed a part of themselves in the past.Subaru mentioned he didn’t go shopping in this iteration.Roswaal sneaking up on Subaru, wondering what he’s up to.The Royal Family died, it’s unknown what the dragon will do.The Royal Family signed a contract with a dragon to protect the kingdom.Rem has most likely been the one killing Subaru the past two iterations.Betty was the one who healed Subaru, Emilia only closed up his wounds.Ram seems to be able to relate to the red/blue ogre story, she does not like to talk about the Jealous Witch story.Betty and Puck are the only ones in the mansion can use “mana-drain”.Rem and Ram seem colder to Subaru when he’s a house guest, especially Rem. Emilia doesn’t have many friends, so she craves things like nicknames. If you haven’t watched the anime up to episode 6, I highly recommend you do before reading this review to avoid getting spoiled. We’re already 6 episodes in but that’s no reason to not start! So I’ll be making these reviews in the form of the first half being a recap in point form and my speculations and thoughts on the episodes in the second half. But since a friend of mine seems to have a hard time enjoying this anime, his reasons being that it doesn’t have a good sense of progression, I’ve decided to write down everything I notice each episode that adds to the show in point form for him. Well, I’ve been wanting to review each episode of my favorite anime this season, Re:Zero, for a while now but I’ve been reluctant because I’m not confident in my ability write well enough to do it justice.
